Sickness Absence Management

Sickness absence represents a significant burden on both the employer and the employee. The outcome for the employers is mounting sick pay, reduced productivity and unnecessary recruitment and for the employee, reduced earnings, job loss for some and an increased workload for colleagues.

Occupational Health Consultancy can provide advice and assistance to your organisation to help you comply with the Equality Act 2010. We will provide clear and consistent advice to enable employees to return to work, identifying where necessary any reasonable adjustments or rehabilitation programmes.

Following each consultation you will be provided with a written report which will indicate:

  • fitness to work
  • the likely return to work date
  • any residual disability on return to work
  • if so, will it be permanent or temporary
  • if the employee will be able to render regular and effective service
  • any continued treatment and prognosis
  • any modifications, restrictions or  adjustments to work and whether these will be permanent or temporary
  • if any risk assessments are required
